Engaging target audience members (younger youth or adults over 50) in learning through exciting curricula. 3. The program benefits the community as a whole through outreach activities carried out by teens. Training date options include: April 26, 27, and 28. Teams may be affiliated with a 4-H Club, school or other organization. Day Camps are the Focus The 2016 Summer Teens as Teachers Program will focus on Day Camps. Teens will have the opportunity to design their own Day Camp for their community. Content area curriculums include but are not limited to: Character Education; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM); Nutrition Education; Physical Activity; Safety; Gardening or Outdoor Lifeskills. If these content areas do not meet the needs of the community, teens may also select their own content as approved by their adult mentor and the SD 4-H Staff.
