Servant Hearts Clinic, Inc. (SHC)
The idea for Servant Hearts
Clinic, Inc. (SHC) was birthed
by three local medical
providers in a Yankton café. All
shared the desire to provide
free healthcare and spiritual
care to the “un” and “underinsured” of our area.
God brought together one
provider, who had been
on several foreign medical
mission trips, with two other
providers who had discussed
the idea several years ago.
Curiously all three shared the
same desire, but alone had not
been able to move forward.
This all changed in 2010. They
gathered with their spouses
and pastors. Prayed and
dreamed. Then they chose to
model their clinic after “Clinic
With A Heart” in Lincoln, NE.
The founder and staff of CWAH
were generous with their time,
resources and shared their
experience to help get started.
After more than a year of
effort, finally launched first
open door clinic night. We
would, of course, be remiss
if we did not give thanks and
praise to God for blessing
us with this local mission
opportunity through which
to serve our Lord and Savior,
Jesus Christ!
As an Urgent Care Provider,
Servant Hearts Clinic (SHC)
plays a role in helping patients
who may have limited access
to healthcare. This access
may be limited by income,
language, legal status and/or
many other variables.
Servant Hearts Clinic is not
intended to be a medical
home, but rather sees patients
for urgent conditions. It
serves as an entry point
to other services in the
community.
Servant Hearts Clinic (SHC)
is a two-way ministry. We
serve our patients with grace,
dignity, and hospitality. We
are also blessed by serving our
patients. We see all patients
who come to our clinic,
