For the third year in a row, youth and adults will once
again be able to participate in open class photography
exhibits at the Yankton County 4-H Achievement Days.
The 2017 Achievement Days will be held Friday, Aug. 4-5.
There are two classes to be entered in — black and
white or color — and a variety of divisions including:
scenic, people, animals and birds, plants and flowers,
and architectural. Open Class photography entries are
due to Yankton County Extension office on or by noon
on Aug. 3. There is a $2 entry fee for adults and a $1 fee
for youth. Awards will be given to the top three finishers
in each class.
The required photo size is 8 x 10 and all Photos must
be mounted, but not matted, on 16 x 20 White MAT
BOARD. Mat Board can be purchased at Yankton County
Extension office or local supply store. Please attach
your entry tag by string to the back upper left hand
corner so it can be hung over the front. Also, no frames,
watermarks, or logos will be allowed on the photos or
mat board.
If you have any questions or need more information,
contact Open Class Photography Coordinator Cheri
Maier at cherimaier@yahoo.com or the Yankton County
4-H Program Assistant, Stephanie Siebrandt, by phone:
(605) 665-3387 or email: Yankton.PA@sdstate.edu.
