Something for Everyone at Dairy Fest 2016
BROOKINGS, S.D. - In
celebration of Dairy Month,
area dairy producers invite
you to enjoy family-friendly
events during Dairy Fest
2016 held in Brookings June
2-4, 2016. Most events are
free and open to the public.
The event will be held
at the Swiftel Center in
Brookings (824 32nd Avenue,
Brookings, SD 57006).
“This three-day event is
designed for all ages to learn
about the multi-facets that
make up the dairy industry,”
explained Tracey Erickson,
SDSU Extension Dairy Field
Specialist.
Darrel Rennich Dairy Fest
Chairman added, “This event
is truly unique as it brings
together multiple facets of
the industry to celebrate
the nutrient-rich benefits
of dairy products, and the
many people - from farmers
to processors to chefs - who
play a role in delivering
dairy to consumers.”
Area dairy producers are
participating in the event
which celebrates their
industry.
“As dairy farmers we
enjoy the opportunity to
share our dairy farming
story, which is exactly what
Dairy Fest is all about,” said
Nicolien Hammink, an area
dairy producer and Dairy
Fest committee member.
“We like to let people know
how well cows are cared for,
you will be able to see this
first-hand through the dairy
farm tour.”
