This access may be limited by income, language, legal status and/or many other variables. SHC is a Christian volunteer organization; the goal is to serve others for the glory of God. SHC will see all patients, providing: Medical care Mental health care Pastoral care Social services Servant Hearts Clinic provides care on a first come, first served basis to anyone in need. No appointments are taken. All of the SHC providers and staff are volunteers seeking to show the heart of Jesus in times of need. Each patient is greeted at the door with kindness, respect and a welcoming attitude. The patient will be escorted through the clinic process by a trained volunteer. No insurance? No problem. SHC services are totally free, including prescription medications if they are needed. No prescriptions are provided for narcotics. Care Provided by SHC includes: Medical Care for urgent, acute conditions Mental Health Care Social Services Pastoral Care SHC serves as an entry point for other services in the community. Services provided to all people who come to the clinic. Services not provided at this time are dental, STD testing, HIV testing, prenatal care, treatment for emergency medical conditions, radiology, immunizations and chiropractic. SHC volunteer staff will use judgment in admitting or denying any patient to the clinic. No patient who is under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be admitted for care. If a patient presents who is in a serious emergency condition (such as suicidal or extremely ill), he or she will be escorted to the Emergency Department at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital. If the patient requires ambulance transport, it will be arranged and the patient will be responsible for the ambulance service cost. Ways You can Help Volunteer - SHC needs volunteers (with and without) medical background to run the clinic nights. Advertise - Get the word out - let people know who need or may need our services that SHC hold free clinics. Pray - Prayers to accomplish the mission. Donate - Monetary donations, of any amount.
