Working with United Way and seeing a need for clothing in the community the Center joined forces and opened doors to the Clothing Closet in March of 2004. The Clothing Closet provides free clothing to anyone in need. It serves HSC patients on a daily basis when it is not open to the community. The goal is to stock good, clean clothing for all needs and all ages. A person in the community in need of Ruth Ann Dickman, one of The Clothing Closets clothing can obtain a voucher from one of original volunteers. the local non-profit agencies for the free clothing. People often access these nonprofit agencies first anyway, so this has offered a smooth progression in providing needed services.
