In 1981, I moved to Sidney, Nebraska for 10 years where I served as training and prevention officer for the fire department the entire time. In 1990, I moved back to Yankton and was fortunate to rejoin the Yankton Fire Department. My fire and rescue experience combined with fire apparatus and fire equipment sales and service helped me land the Assistant Chief/Fire Marshals position in 1996, allowing me to once again serve the citizens of Yankton. During my tenure I have attended the National Fire Academy in Emmetsburg, Maryland for inspection and prevention as well as numerous other schools and trainings.
